A numbered completion plan with a price for each item, so you can decide what to tackle first.
An explanation of what can be reused and why. A rebuild is a recommendation to justify, not a default.
An account and access checklist covering the repository, domain, hosting and services. I’ll help transfer them where your permissions and provider terms allow.

Build fees are one-time project costs, not a website rental. Domain renewal, hosting, payment processing and any paid tools are separate, billed to your accounts. Optional maintenance is separate too. The written agreement sets the scope and payment terms.

What is not in it

The $3,000 Code Review covers assessment and a completion plan, not the repair work itself. I need access to the code before I can quote the build. If access or ownership is disputed, that must be resolved first. The written review is yours to use with another developer.

Before you start

What do you need to assess an unfinished project?: The repository, a description of what was agreed, and a way to inspect the current build. Start with a link and a summary; we will arrange appropriate access separately. Do not send passwords in the enquiry form.
Does the Code Review commit me to a rebuild?: No. It is a separate $3,000 assessment over two weeks. You keep the report and can use it with another developer. Repair or rebuild work is quoted after the review.

Talk through your project

Your project. Your way forward.

You own it: On final payment, the custom code, design, content and data are yours outright—assigned, not licensed. Unfinished work remains mine until final payment. Reusable components and third-party licenses are the exceptions described below.
The accounts will be yours from day one: Domain, hosting, DNS, analytics, email and payments will be set up in your name, on your billing, with me added where needed. You keep access when the work ends; I do not resell hosting.
Reusable and third-party components: My reusable components remain mine, with a permanent free license for you to use, change and have another developer maintain them. Third-party software retains its own license; any relevant restrictions or paid dependencies will be identified in the plan.
The code goes in your repository from the first commit: Your project code will be in your repository from the first commit. You can follow the changes and share the work with another developer without waiting for a final handover.
Getting your data out: If the project holds data, it will include a documented export you can run yourself. Any limits imposed by a connected service will be explained before you buy.
After launch: Thirty days of fixes are included for work that does not meet the agreed scope. New features are quoted separately. After that, support is $125 an hour with no minimum. Response targets: site down, same business day; other faults, one business day; changes, three business days. These are response times, not guaranteed resolution times.
How it ends: Ongoing support has no minimum term or cancellation fee, with thirty days’ notice either way. Ending support does not disable your site. Your domain, hosting and third-party subscriptions still need to be maintained.
If I am unavailable: There is no automatic replacement developer. Your accounts, repository and handover notes will be available to you throughout the project. If I cannot be reached for ten business days, you can give those materials to another developer and continue without waiting for me.
